Einstein_tongue.pngTeams from our schools recently competed in the Knowledge Master Open competition, an academic competition in which students compete with other teams across the world by answering curriculum-based contest questions. Teams begin at 5th grade with 100 questions for 5th and 6th graders and 200 questions for higher grade levels.
Fayetteville elementary and middle school teams were very successful in the recent March competition. Butterfield Trail Elementary students scored the highest rank in the state of Arkansas at the 5th grade level, with an overall rank of 53rd in the world. McNair Middle School topped the Arkansas scores at the 6th grade level, with an overall rank of 61st internationally. Teams from Root, Vandergriff, Happy Hollow, Owl Creek, Washington and Asbell Elementary along with Holt Middle School's 5th grade also competed this year at the 5th grade level. Holt Middle and Owl Creek School competed at the 6th grade level. Woodland and Ramay Junior High and Fayetteville High School teams will compete in April.
