Connotations Wins Top National Award

connotations-gold1.pngCongratulations to the staff of Connotations, the student literary magazine at Fayetteville High School, for winning a Gold Crown Award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association for their 2012 volume. This is the highest award given for excellence in writing, editing, design, content, concept, photography, art, and graphics. Connotations is one of only twelve high school student literary magazines in the U.S. to receive this award.

Editors of the 2012 volume were Kaitlyn Hurlbut and Joel Freeman. The staff members of the 2013 volume of Connotations are
