FHS Homeless Vigil Set for December 3

Posted by Alan on November 20, 2015 11:45 AM | (Not Filed) |

fire_barrel.pngThe annual Homeless Vigil, sponsored each year by the Fayetteville High School Student Council, will be held on Thursday, December 3, beginning at 5 pm and continuing through the night until 6 a.m. on Friday, December 4. The goal of the Vigil is to raise $10,000.

Student Council members will spend the night in makeshift housing on the lawn of FHS, keeping warm from a fire in a barrel. Fayetteville residents are encouraged to stop by and leave a monetary donation or contribute non-perishable food items. Both the cash donations and the food items will be used to help the students in need in our district and their families.

You can donate to the Vigil via PayPal at this link. You may pledge to the vigil by emailing the FHS Student Council Sponsor Michelle Fyfe, and the Student Council will mail you an invoice for your pledge.

Thanks for your support of this most important event!
